Open to residents of Bernards Township in grades 9-12, the program will be supervised by a Bernards Township Recreation Gym Supervisor for pick-up games of basketball for both male and female participants. This program is a great opportunity to hone their skills for the upcoming basketball season.
Refunds, less a $10 administrative fee per registrant, will only be processed if requested by 4:00PM, September 13, 2024.

This is a recreational, non-competitive league, where the basic skills and fundamentals are taught to the participants; no league standings are kept.

The focus of the league at all grade levels is on:
-Developing skills, including an understanding of basic offensive and defensive strategies of the game.
-Developing teamwork and athletic conditioning.
-Developing sportsmanship. The most important aspect of this program is for the young players to get positive exposure to this lifetime activity.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! One volunteer Coach and one volunteer Assistant Coach is needed for each recreation basketball team. As a coach or assistant for your child's team you will be responsible for:
Attending the Rutgers SAFETY Clinic (unless you have already attended a SAFETY Clinic before).
Picking up equipment issued to your team and maintaining it throughout the season.
Communicating all important league information to parents and participants.
Teaching participants the basic skills and fundamentals of basketball and good sportsmanship.
